If witnesses do happen, I hope Republicans agree to have equal amounts of witnesses... because the Democrats have already called 17 witnesses... so the Republicans should also call 17 witnesses and not allow the Dems to have any more.

Sweet. I hope Romney just secured the passing of those changes to the Utah state constitution that allow for the recall of US Congresscritters via ballot initiatives.
It's expected he won't vote and a 50-50 tie means the motion will fail, because it did not get a majority. If there is a tie and Roberts sides with the Dems the Republicans would lose their minds. And if Murkowski does not join Collins and Romney it will be 51-49.
