The official reported mortality rate is 2%. The actual mortality rate, if official numbers are correct, is between 6% and 12%.

The numbers given here are 14,380 infected and 304 dead. That makes 2.1% mortality.

This sounds right except for 1 problem. The 14,380 includes newly infected that are skewing the numbers down because they haven't died yet. The dead include only those who have progressed through the entirety of the disease.

The Wuhan Virus (2019-ncov) has a 2-10 day incubation period, followed by 3 days of fever, cough, and sore throat and progressing into pneumonia. In other words, the dead were from the group of individuals infected about 6 days prior.

The 304 dead were sick when there were only 2744 cases. The 259 dead were sick when there were only 1975 cases.

The media is purposely lumping together the dead who had been sick for two weeks with the newly infected in order to skew the number down to 2%.

We are talking about a massive disruption in the global economy. Short sell if you can and stockpile supplies. Chinese goods are about to get a lot more expensive, not that you can trust anything being shipped out of there.
