I only started listening to conservative radio about 10 years ago, and only happened upon Rush because he was on the same station as my local guy. I give Rush 100 percent credit for getting me through muh Russia. Every time something new would drop he would be able to explain precisely what was going on and why it would end up being a bust, and he was always prophetic! By the time impeachment came around, I knew to just be patient. I really credit him for showing me how to feel comfortable despite the latest Dem hysteria.
Rush can take a complex issue layered in misleading nonsense and put it on the kitchen table. Making it crystal clear and what's behind both sides of the argument. That's a rare talent even when you don't agree with him you have to respect his logic and reason.
Just last week I told my kids I had been listening to him for 28 years (I first heard him on WBAP in the run-up to the 92 election) .
It got me to thinking how remarkable it will be in 2 years when I will have been listening to the same radio show pretty regularly for 30 years but now there is no guarantee of that.
I can even pinpoint the exact place where I was when he admitted to the oxy problem. (I was out in a hay field eating lunch in my pickup)

Yeah Rush is incredibly insightful. I can't stand normal news because they have an incentive to make it doom and gloom.

Rush seems to be very moved. That's a great honor indeed. I used to listen to him when I was still a democrat.

He’s been in the air for over 30 years. Times change. Most presidents called for penalties. He doesn’t do that now. Stop living in the past.
