I sold my business a few years ago . I became a bad cliche. I married a 25 year old and started drinking again after being sober for 20 years. So I stopped drinking got rid of the young wife and went back to school to get a degree in Addiction and Substance Abuse. I now run a group home for recovering addicts. It's great and rewarding work but all my employees are fucking liberals. I have been low key about my political beliefs but I am going to start wearing my MAGA shirts to work. I put the icon for this website on the computer in the room that everyone uses.. i am not going to be discreet about my right wing beliefs anymore. What changed my mind? It was listening to everyone go on and on about how guilty the President is, how disgraceful the Republicans are. Fuck them. I am going balls out from now until the election is over.. i hope that someone complains.

If one of your people tries to get in your head about your apparent heresy, just play along and tell them that you were as liberal as they came until they shoved this impeachment circus in your face to where you really had to pay attention to it.

don't hide. be the shining beacon of what is possible from a free and curious mind. talking about truth and greatness means nothing from someone who is neither true nor great. lead by example, and others will follow. positive reinforcement, don't make it a division thing. that is their court. we unite and strive and think.
I am the same way. I will not bring politics to work... unless everyone else is gonna do it.

Just gotta throw my two cents in. I’m in the same boat in a niche industry in probably the most left leaning town in Massachusetts. One thing I’ve learned is most of the vitriol and virtue signaling is just people stupidly telling you which “team“ they are on. I always try to jump in without any alignment, just using basic facts and time and time again people end up agreeing with me and funny enough also with Trump. Everyone gets along and there is never any “Orange Man Bad” because it’s always followed by “Prove your point!”
