The primary reason anyone should be concerned at all is whether or not he's using his position as a teacher to bestow said opinion and his political views on students (for example: does he encourage his students to follow him on Twitter and read his tweets?)
If we are honest and fully support the US Constitution, he has every right to say these things publicly, and if he is keeping his mouth shut about it in the classroom, there is no reason to do anything other than just brush it off.
People can be mad about what he said, but we need to be sure any actions we suggest are based on whether or not he is abusing his position as a teacher with that opinion.
