Additional and/or Notable Information:
2 US service members killed & 6 others wounded; 8 ANSOF killed

7th Special Forces Group ODA ambushed in Sherzad, Afghanistan
Suspected Green on Blue from ANA
DShk Heavy Machine Gun (also AA at close range) was used during attack, according to various reports. I've yet to obtain clear confirmation by US Intelligence or appropriate high-ranking official government agencies or individuals that the specific weapon-type described above is factual, however I believe there to be a high level of confidence that a rapid, automatic, machine-gun type weapon of similar description was used. You should especially take details surrounding this with a "grain of salt" until credible confirmations are provided by appropriate government sources.
Joint operation (U.S, soldiers & Afghan security forces) taking place at time of attack involved 'key-leader' (specifics for what the involvement was aren't quite understood)
Ambush took place during a Key Leader Engagement
"An Afghan commando opened fire," a local security official told AFP, adding that the shooting lasted a long time.
In the past, US forces have been targeted in so called "insider" attacks where Afghan security forces target international soldiers with whom they are working.
Clarification regarding the "insider":Official and various public reports I've read have described the attacker(s) / terrorist(s) wearing an "Afghan uniform". I've yet to confirm additional specifics regarding the attacker(s), but insider accounts have described the event using key words such as: "shocking", "surprising", "ambush", etc. A joint operation (US and Afghan forces) was underway when the attack took place, so the description of the perpetrator(s) in an "Afghan uniform" and the words used to describe the state-of-mind of those involved, both describe an attack either accurately or loosely related to one that would be perpetrated by individual(s) on the "inside". Hopefully that clears up some confusion I know many were wanting clarity regarding.
I appreciate that, and I'm glad I could be of service!
I've attempted to be due diligent in providing verifiable and accurate information as quickly as possible without being negligent, but I would always encourage others to perform due diligence of their own independently, as well!
See additional info added to my "Updates" comment above. It doesn't directly respond to your question, but may provide additional clarity surrounding the "insider".
While I can't speak to the censoring, I noticed quite a few comments that the Reddit overlords would probably deem 'hateful' and 'violations', so I believe the The_Donald mods are probably doing their best to keep the community from further "punishment". I'd be interested to inquire about the censoring from The_Donald mods, themselves, as they might be able to provide clarity that speaks to my previous point. I would hope so, at least, and I believe that's the most likely reasoning.

Amazing reporting I just learned more from you than a week watching MSM. Outstanding!
We ARE the media!
I appreciate that, and I'm glad I could be of service!

Because russian weapons have proliferated in that area and many others. It's no more strange to see a DShK than to see an average AK or RPG.
They had tons of them. Iraqis too

I don't want that to be true. It is all so ugly.
I was literally thinking the same thing...
Well, I am convinced they ass deepnin pakistan
Plus to derail the taliban talks that were about to go down.

Drop a couple more MOAB's, then bring them home.
Don't forget the MOP ;)
Because of how effective the MOAB was last time?
An insider. Can’t trust these fucks.
God help us all, and comfort their families tonight. Please Father, protect our people. We call on You...
Thank you for your post
This is the week when the networks didn’t invite anyone from the White House. So no snide questions tomorrow.
How the hell was this not headline news?
Three words: Radical Left Media

What are your thoughts on that?
You can take Haji out of the madrassa, but you can’t take the madrassa out of Haji.
It's time to come home.
Sounds like MOAB time
Why? It was ineffective last time we used it.
God Dammit. Scorched earth mother fuckers.
