Politics came up and I brought up some points where she said "really? huh. didn't know that" All I said was - you're smart, look this up for yourself. it's all out there, but you won't find it on any of your normal news sources."

TDS is very powerful and hard to break. I truely believe that it's a form of brainwashing. She's smart, has a lot of common sense and she's even is in an industry that has directly benefited from Trumps policies. Her bonuses are bigger, job opportunities never better (she's switched companies twice in 2 years for bigger bucks), her retirement plan is through the roof and yet it's still orangemanbad. 4-5 years ago she didn't even know if she was going to have a job.
