Many folks don't know this but our courts have consistently ruled that the police, Law Enforcement officers paid by the Public to Serve and Protect, are not compelled to come to your aid. If you have not been aware of this in the past read it again and understand; the police can not be compelled to come to your aid, they have no legal requirement to help you. You cannot sue them or hold them accountable when they refuse you, either.

If you look at some history of our American Society you will discover many instances where police simply refuse to respond. Whether riots or terrorists or simple crime, the police are not required to aid you. In many jurisdictions today they will not respond for simple crimes at all, property theft or disturbances. And some jurisdictions will charge you a fee if they do respond.
So get that paradigm out of your head - the police are not there to protect citizens at all. Don't expect 'justice' from our Justice System, it ain't happening for most of us.
This is yet another reason why we have the Second Amendment, WE must do our parts as Citizens and help police society. An armed Society is a polite Society for a reason after all.
The Enemy knows the cops most likely will not help you, mayors and other officials know they are not in any legal trouble if they refuse to police terrorists and thugs. The only one in danger is We the People, the honest Citizens just going about our business, building Society. Those who destroy Society are in no danger from the police tho, and they know it.....YOU have to know it as well.

Do I recall correctly that the courts have also ruled that the police are not obligated under any circumstance to tell the truth? Or was that simply rumor?
I do remember something about it being 'ok' for them, LE/Government, to lie if they claim it is to pursue a case. Like using undercovers, those guys lie like rugs but then in court their word is gold somehow.

Like I tell the kids...never ever talk to the cops, ever. When they were young I told them to just say 'Please would you call my Parents?' And nothing more, sit there with your mouth shut and just relax, wait for us. But regardless of the reason an adult finds themself being asked/told to talk to cops the best idea is Don't Do It! If you screw up simple things they can/will hammer you, and when they lie/set you up it don't matter, you're still hammered.
Story time.....years ago I needed cops for a serious crime. During the investigation I was told by the FBI to record everything I discussed with anyone on my phone or in person. In Texas that's legal, a person may record any conversation to which they are a party without informing the other party. I ended up recording a local Detective lying, he tried to make me into a criminal but I produced a copy of the recording, which the idiot then tried to confiscate. He suffered no consequences for his lies but if I had not recorded him I might have been charged with shiite I did not do.
Anyhow, yeah cops can lie and do, all the time.
I'm glad I don't live in Portland. I'm not sure how anyone seeing this shit in their streets could hold themselves back from retaliating with lethal force against these terrorists and the people enabling them and providing cover for them.

Nothing grinds my gears more than seeing police take the side of terrorists, its an abomination when it happens in europe, and I never thought it would happen in the same country subject to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. That is all the grounds any official worth a damn ought need to designate portland PD and the mayor & police chief as terrorist supporters. Hard, cold, evidence.
If they want to whine that they have no obligation to protect people, then arresting people for defending themselves cant be allowed - police have no mandate or authority to sentence innocent people to death using antifa as a means of killing.

The Oregon state police should arrest the entire police 'leadership' in Portland. If they don't then Trump should send in US Marshals to do it, backed by units under US Army North.
Portland is a sanctuary city, and we know that the mayor there hates Trump and that the police are looking the other way on ANTIFA crimes
This is just more evidence that at the least, the mayor of Portland coordinating with the police to create a problem for Trump, to create such a mess through police passivity to lawlessness.

So recap. I believe this is more evidence that the mayor has given the portland police orders to allow the lawlessness of ANTIFA, in order to force Trump to make a mistake and send in the military.
How should Trump respond?
He should
A) Do nothing. Send no one. Extract any loyalist / Trump supporters from Portland by poaching them into different executive agencies elsewhere. That way, Portland becomes completely polarized with weirdos and lunatics who will destroy themselves. Keep in mind, they will destroy THEM SELVES.. that's why you get the good ones out first
B) DeFund the everliving Shit out Portland. If they complain, you defund ALL OF OREGON, the entire state. And you make damn sure you tweet the names of the people responsible. "Portland Mayor and any coordinating with him/her is responsible for Oregon losing its funding for FY2020 and FY2021"
C) You map out all of ANTIFA and cancel their loans and put liens against any of their property. You seize their cars. You seize their bitcoin. You seize their houses. This can be done under the presidential directive against terrorism and sponsors of terrorism. If they complain, arrest them for advocating overthrow of the us government (felony) and charge them also with incitement of riots (felony), sedition (felony), disturbing the peace (misdemeanor). Since they are on twitter and coordinate thru twitter, it's an additional conspiracy charge (felony), and it's also intimidation of voters (felony) because they are threatening people with political violence
You report them as being a member of a terrorist organization to the school they attended. Possibly nothing comes of this. But possibly the school will revoke their degree, if their degree is based also on conduct even beyond their attendence as a student (breach of contract)...this gives the school the legal right to revoke your degree for breach of conduct by participating in terrorist organization; even if not a terrorist org but a protest org that has committed crimes.
And if the public university doesn't take action against a substantial number of antifa members, Trump can threaten to permanently cancel public funding to that university.

I prefer option B. Basically sanction them. Do the same for California, and any other state that has even a small town within that has declared itself a "sanctuary" for illegals, for states that are trying to remove the 2nd amendment, etc. Use the saved funding for infrastructure in states that are not sanctioned.

President Trump should order the Portland police department to be dissolved, activate the National Guard to protect the city and form a task force to create a new police department with people that want to protect honest citizens.
