I use newpipe. I dont care enough to watch ads for uploaded. I came to youtube to get away from commercials not see more of them.

Newpipe is the best and it's well maintained too. You can download through github or from the F-Droid store (all free).

Github is better.the updates show up on github while hdroid takes longer to update. If newpipe stops working it usually already has an update to fix the problem.
