If you have been paying attention recently, he is doing just that. He has been blocked from doing this because of impeachment. Now that he is off the hook, he has been letting people go left and right. Bill Barr has being going after them too. This kind of thing takes yearsssss. YEARRRs to pull off. I think Trumps second term will be fully focused on taking them out since its such a long process with courts and it will not risk his reelection.
He drained the swamp, we know who the corrupt people are and everyone on both sides are waking up to it. The thing is though, now that we have the water out of the swamp and we know what's in it we need to remove the animals from it.
I don't know why anybody would assume the swamp has been drained.
There is a severe corruption problem that has been partially alleviated by removing a few people from State, the FBI and DOJ. This has been held up by the Democrats with their dishonest coup attempts, but most of the worst actors are out of positions of most influence, now.
There is another corruption problem among our politicians, in both the House and the Senate. This will have to be resolved by the voters.
There is a competence problem in our judiciary, that is well on the way of being resolved, with the tacit help of moderate Democrats.
Re-electing Trump, keeping the Senate, and taking back the House are essential to clearing up the worst of the current mess.
The temptation toward corruption is perennial in our system, due to the very large flow of money from our taxpayers. If we clean up this mess well, it will be a little longer before the next corruption scandal.
Trump is best enemy against the deep state. They haven't been arrested because it turns out that Barr is a deep state operative so you can see how difficult it is?
Draining the swamp is practically impossible. The Presidency had its balls cut off ever since JFK, if not before. The permanent bureaucracy Unionized itself and made it impossible to fire them. They are forever, a President is one man and temporary, without the ability to fire the bureaucracy.
The best Trump can do is expose the truth to all, as he already has been: The President has been a figurehead for decades. It's just that they got good puppets to take office, who played the part well. They make the President look powerful when he's doing what the Deep State wants.
When he doesn't do what they want...turns out not so powerful.
Of all campaign promises, "because you'd be in jail" is the one that perked my ears up and got my attention. Promises made promises kept right? That was a biggie.
A President that obeys the law can't, unfortunately, just throw her criminal ass in prison where she belongs. If the DOJ lets her go, what can he do? On the bright side, she signs books at lefty organizations or Costco these days, trying to stay relevant. She is miserable. Even being VP to a little schmuck like Bloomberg would make her miserable.
Sounds like you need to re-elect DJT so that he can keep draining for four more years, because, you are right - much remains to be done.

The swamp is a Hydra monster, lop off a head and you discover two more. This will be an endless war for 5 more years.
