What a beautiful thing. Mandate regular gun-range attendance & training sessions and you suddenly have what the english did when they mandated all citizens train with the longbow - a population that is entirely self-reliant and that cannot ever be oppressed. Peasants that can single-handedly kill a couple of charging and armoured knights before they even reach him. Or gather in number and wipe out essentially any mobilised force short of a full professional army.

It may well be a troll bill but it would be sheer brilliance to see this go to a vote even if it never passes.

I don't see why we can't start teaching gun safety in high school.

When Dirt and I attended public school we had a shooting club, .22s and 20 gauge shotguns. If you looked in the parking lot people might have gun racks in their trucks, with rifles/shotguns in them.

No school shootings, I repeat, no school shootings.

sounds similar to the draft people already have to sign up for, that means there's already precedent so this is no drastic measure

i just hope there are exceptions for schizophrenics, previous felons, suicidal individuals, and retarded people. Otherwise, things could get interesting.

It's not "people" that have to sign up, it's men. Which is why the selective service was ruled unconstitutional like a year or two ago. It violates the equal protection clause.

Well maybe a piston driven AR 10, not a fan of the -15 direct impingement version.

But it's the thought that counts and I do so appreciate that!

We need a buy one get one free deal. Or the ever popular “Family Plan”.

If they can bring this to NJ. . .

I disagree. You shall not be forced to do anything you don’t want to do. I understand that that happens ALOT, but don’t add another thing.

rooftoptendie 5 points ago +5 / -0

all i wanna know is if you cannot afford an AR15, will one be provided to you?

GameLord 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's a once a year credit you can apply for after the purchase

Government issued rifle to each registered head of household landowner. As part of the well regulated militia necessary for a free state.

Nah. I have several AR15's, strongly support the 2nd Amendment and would love to see the NFA repealed, but no one should ever be forced to buy anything. I get that this bill is an attempt to 'troll', but it would just be another example of the government interfering in the free market.
