His reaction is one of sheer terror. His actions are highly irresponsible, though understandable. The outcome will be predictable: if he truly doesn't have the virus, his career will be on hold until this blows over as nobody will want to get near his dumb ass. If he is unfortunate enough to have the virus (I do not wish that on anyone!), he will be personally blamed for being patient zero in Oregon, Cambodia and all the people on every flight he was on and at every airport was in.
