The law applies TO ALL, or it doesn't apply AT ALL.

" The procedure has already been practiced for a while, but city leaders said they felt compelled to officially make it a law, in fear of what could happen to immigration laws should President Trump be re-elected. "

I've seen this kind of pointed, anticipatory injustice, before.

Just after Bill Clinton was elected, some military officers in the USAF wanted to deny benefits to patients, because Clinton had been elected, and would do that, in the near future.

Others pointed out that the only way a President can act is through an executive order, and because Clinton had not yet taken office, he had not yet issued an executive order.

The patients got their benefits.

And, the rule that was "going to be changed" never was changed.

This is a job for normies. Business owners and parents need to visit or write the Cambridge city council and inform them that, if they cannot administer the local laws impartially and without favoritism, they will be removed from office at the first regularly scheduled electoral opportunity.

It would be a very good idea for the local patriots to search for replacements for the City Council.

Now when illegals hit you you cannot sue or seek any relief from government. And remember, those stop signs interpret as 'speed up' to illegals.

Laws, we don't need no stinkin' LAWS!

They wouldn't want their maids getting arrested when their drawing rooms need cleaning.

Any state whose government permits 'cities' to do this should immediately lose all federal highway funds.

city leaders said they felt compelled to officially make it a law, in fear of what could happen to immigration laws should President Trump be re-elected.

How does letting illegals drive cars without licenses impact imigration law? So they can flee from ICE in a car chase rather than on foot? So they might escape easier, killing citizens and wreaking havoc on the roads as they do so? Whats the motivation for these 'city leaders' ? Orangeman will take our precious criminals away so we should help them commit as much crime as possible right now before they are taken... ?

What a filthy band of scum, passing a 'law' gifting crime groups even more ability to commit crime should land all of these councillors in jail.

This story is fake news. A court summons IS an arrest. By signing the summons, you promise to appear in court. The crime is just not serious enough to put you in handcuffs and make you sit in a cell overnight, but it still counts as an arrest. The bill is about arresting by summons as opposed to custodial.

I think it might be in my best interest to tuck away my birth certificate (and other documents) and just claim I'm undocumented. I can get in-state tutition, of the hook for crimes, avoid taxes, still get to vote, etc.
