Life is a habit I can't quit. u/swampswan just made me depressed for a minute. I'm just an Atheist pede that sees spartan like utility to abortion. In the modern era, children are a choice. Having children one can't afford, is one of the most selfish demonic acts imaginable. I don't give a damn what ancient scribbles are citied as justification. It's wrong. It's outright evil, and these parents will jump through as many hoops as it takes to justify their actions

They were a choice then, too. I made the choice to keep my baby.

They were reared well, I never took welfare. Check out another post that details my life a bit more - you'll find it in my profile. It's a long post, you can't miss it. edit: here's the link https://thedonald.win/p/4662viK/x/c/FysTklks

I can flip the table, and tell you that killing one's own flesh and blood is "one of the most selfish demonic acts imaginable. I don't give a damn what is cited as justification. It's wrong. It's outright evil, and these people who murder their own children will jump through as many hoops as it takes to justify their actions."

See how that works? Stay depressed over my giving birth 40 years ago. Makes no difference to me. I'm enjoying life, as are my children - and with a clean conscience, to boot. Wait til you find out I have 8 grandchildren, that'll really put ya over the edge!

Some people shouldn't have children, and not just because they can't afford them. But it really takes Spartan-like discipline to avoid pregnancy in the first place. Some will say that's easier said than done, but I say that's an easier decision than the alternative choice to take a life. Whatever your belief system, you're here now and you're making a difference for someone. And you have to believe that things can get better. They can and they will.
