After bird flu, pig flu, Sars, global warming, cooling, housing collapse, net neutrality, and rise of Skywalker, I can take it.

I haven't read zero hedge since they started printing anti Trump shit. So no.

The doom and gloom doesn't help. Be prepared as normal, pretend you live on planet Earth and keep reasonable resources on hand for the occasional disaster.

I though Ebola sounded worse and SARS just as bad. Like Ebola seemed to be killing healthier people perhaps?

Ebola did seem remote, but with a potential pandemic, a great deal of the worry is that it will infect so many people that it won't be practical to stop it so worry a lot about the infection rate. If something like that popped up in a western nation, the health system is more likely to be able to head it off. Africa is the opposite. It would hit 10 million people, and people would still be trying to fix it with crushed bone from some poor albino. I think I also remember the symptoms being like vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding out. Not a pleasant way to go.

This one is a bit different due to its much higher rate of transmission. But it's also a bit different due to its much lower rate of death.

Yeah China's numbers are probably bullshit in a number of ways. I live in Korea, which has excellent medical care and doesn't lie about this sort of stuff. They also have the second highest number of confirmed cases at 602. Of those, 6 have died.

Something I'm not seeing mentioned here is the 14 day incubation period where you can have no symptoms, but are still contagious. The rhetorical danger of that is if someone is not diagnosed coming in then every person they come in contact with for two weeks is vulnerable.

Yes. There are more people sick from regular flu right now.

Yes, information is being modified to suit China's agenda. All of the alphabet news networks have been paid off. Can't trust info about what is happening.

Bad time to be running for president on a pro-open borders campaign...

The average person has no idea how bad this really is. Ignore the effect the virus might or might not have on you or your family, the effect it will have on the global economy will be felt everywhere.

Seems like the genie is out of the bottle on this one. Just pray your loved ones don’t get acute illness.

I am a senior, so I should worry the most. It's bad flu, highly, highly contagious, but the mortality rate isn't horrific. We can treat Ebola... we can deal with this. Buy some good flu fighting supplies for your house.

I'm giving you an hospital insider tip:

Take the following to stop a lung cytokine storm, because this is literally what the hospital will give you, for a million times the otc price:

Prilosec: take at least 2 and up to 4 hours before or after the following...

Tagamet & Benedryl (take together, as recommended).

All 3 are totally different vectors for stopping a cytokine storm. You can also add a decongestant to this, but ASK A PHARMACIST as to timing/dosage, and any RX interactions.

Then go to Costco, buy a giant pack of tissues, vitamin C, a 5-gallon bucket of chicken soup, and quietly tell the globalist mass murderers-for-profit to go f themselves.

Note: you're going to need a 2-week supply, per person, for the 3 aforementioned cytokine storm preventatives, plus decongestant, etc. The first 2 might make you a tad constipated at the 2-week mark, so stay hydrated and, if you are able, eat real fiber.

The CDC is openly warning that the US may experience quarantines.

That's a straight up statement of potential martial law. The cities will be hardest hit, if it comes to that.

God has always hated cities. They concentrate evil.

Do you have a cite for this? I've been following this closely and have not seen this. I know that evacuees and known infected are quarantined.
