Sorry, I don't get it. WHO destroyed Trek/created Discovery? I love the original Trek & Next Generations (and have heard repeatedly I need to check out Babylon 5) but I just have no use for the 57 different off-shoots of the series. I'm always reminded of the HollyWeird saying 'within the industry': if at first it succeeds, beat it to death (e.g., sequels, prequels, 'franchises', sequels-of-sequels, Star Wars USED to be good at least the first THREE of 5 billion - there are more installments than there are made-up genders).
What a damn shame, seriously. Patrick Stewart really turned into a TOOL as well (I can't wait to immigrate to America.....so I can start fighting Trump - give me a BREAK). I thought Stewart's new thing was going to be called simply "Picard" but it's this Discovery? There was always an unmistakable undercurrent of politics throughout ALL iterations of Trek but it sounds like the SJW knob went straight to '11' and was super-glued in place for THIS. Thanks for the warning - had no intention of watching anyway!

I've got the IMAGINATION but just not the TECHNOLOGY to produce something such as this - 'ratskates' is easily on a level with carpe donktum.
