Agreed. I cut the reddit chord a couple weeks ago and am happy with the decision... however this platform is pretty clunky and could be drastically improved.
Improved like how? All I can see is threaded discussions; but, if it ain't broke, why fix it. The way it is now, there will be a time when it has all the members the format can handle.
I agree that platform needs to look better. Graphics on top page are generic and uninspiring. The "feel" of this page is definitely not as good as before, and likely not that hard to improve. The Reddit cover page for The_Donald was better, much more high energy.
If they can simply duplicate that look/function, we're good.
I like it the way it is , i don't experience any clunkiness. Logged in long time ago added to home on my cell and just clicking icon all works nice no logins asked ui pretty clean, I don't want too much features to distract from exposing retarded left
The user interface is already great Mr. Software Developer. Hundreds have already made the same offer. What makes you think you're special and what do you think needs to be improved?
Another software dev here. Need "view context" button from inbox for starters. Getting messages, clicking go to permalink, then going to view full comment thread is tiresome.
I hope the team working on this understands software can be worked on collectively... a little something called github.
I've honestly never even seen an announcement post from whoever runs this place. That typically means it's because their english no good. Only speak the russian or chinese and need to clear with their political handlers. But oh well, we shall see.
Create a free market for UI and the market shall provide.

It’s just clunky. Yeah I guess it works, but doesn’t seem to work as well on mobile, which is how I view it most of the time.

And apps if possible. Reddit censorship eminent.
Besides an app, what improvements are you referring to?

A mobile app would be phenomenal. That's the primary thing about reddit which I prefer.
