We can already see how the left will try to make Coronavirus into Trump’s Katrina. Get ready for this to be intensely politicized as a black swan event like this is pretty much their only chance for 2020. They will use this to push universal health care and their talking point will be how much Americans have to pay to get tested for Coronavirus. I already see this talking point being pushed.

It is distasteful to politicize horrific situations like this but we must be prepared with a response. This virus makes a very compelling argument for strong borders and travel bans and we should strongly make that case.

The virus also points to the problem with globalization where our supply chains are dependent on China and shows that we need to keep strategic industries at home. The vast majority of our drugs are produced in China, which is a big problem right now. It is important for America to have a diversified supply chain that is not dependent on China and we want to make sure we keep production capacities for key industries at home for strategic reasons.

This situation is going to have an effect on 2020, let’s do our best to counter their propaganda efforts.

This could be a huge mistake in his campaign, saying that the US situation is fine. The CDC is not testing enough. There are drs that can't get test kits b/c CDC is not sending them out. That's why our numbers are low--b/c people aren't getting tested. Trump needs to step up here and not gloss over how bad this could be in the US.

The WHO and CDC are in charge of this and up till last saturday they were saying "everything fine no need to worry," so I dont know how this could be trumps fault

The WHO is not, and should not be, in charge of anything in the US. And who do you think the CDC works for? The President.

Are you a globalist, by chance? Do you want the President's constitutional authority as the chief executive of the federal government to be handed over to unelected bureaucracies?

What an odd comment.

The president listens to the leaders in their field, are you saying the president shouldnt care what either organization which sole responsibility is disease related say? What a foolish comment.

What? "Are you saying the President shouldn't care what either organization says?" I don't know why you're asking asking this question. I never said or implied anything like that.
