The totalitarians have taken over. “How can theses so called “progressives” approve of these totalitarian tactics? It’s a sad state that the modern left finds itself. I went to college in the late 80s and early 90s, and the liberals of that era were adamantly pro-free speech, no matter what. They would never believe the state of free speech promoted by their ideological progeny. Some in the establishment left, such as Tipper Gore, who came out for warning labels for “explicit speech” were roundly denounced as autorotation Nazis by the progressive wing of the Democrat party. What the hell has happened to you, liberals? Do you not realize that these same tactics could easily be turned on your sacred cows, like Bernie? Wake up! You’ve already done everything short of outright banning us, solely based on political preferences. Do you not know your history at all? Have you not heard of the Cultural Revolution in China that started just like this, quashing dissent and ultimately leading to the death of 60 million people? Is your hate over a single personality so great that you are willing to throw away centuries of free speech guaranteed by our Constitution and following in a tradition of English Common Law? How can this be? Is Trump really Hitler, or a fascist like many approved subs in this site claim (while openly calling for violence against us with no repercussions)? Really? The fact that you can abuse his supporters, and deny them rights should answer that question for you. We are neither Nazis or fascists. Both of my grandfathers fought against actual Nazis and fascists and made this the most powerful and wealthy and free country in the history of mankind. You take these gifts and liberties for granted, and oppress your fellow countrymen while paradoxically claiming to be the virtuous ones. It’s sad. You fail to realize that in your rush to quash dissenting opinions, you have become the very thing you accuse us of being, totalitarian fascists. You need to take a long look in the mirror and evaluate what you actually stand for. But you won’t because you are convinced that your cause is moral and us as inbred retards. You consider yourself “woke” because you have been lied to by your teachers/professors and the media, all the while calling us brainwashed, while you sound no different than an Academy Award acceptance speech. You’re not fringe or “edgy” when you parrot the beliefs of Hollywood and establishment politicians who have been in power for decades. You’re programmed. You’re doing the work of the ChiComs and the elites in our country, while simultaneously claiming to be standing up for the oppressed, when in reality we are the oppressed and you are the oppressors. Congratulations, you have become the machine that you used to rage against. If you don’t think there won’t be a major comeuppance for labeling your fellow citizens as Nazis and censoring their voices, you are even more delusional than I thought. What’s your end goal here? To have a site where people can only post views that don’t offend (insert victim) groups, or only conforms to the views of (current year) thought police? What a drab and scary future you envision.”
