That's not the point the OP was making. What he was making, and maybe didn't remember the name of, is section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. It's not tested in court to this level that I'm aware of, but if a company like Reddit is both acting as a platform for user-generated content and a publisher by vetting content or only allowing certain content they have vetted, there is some question whether they could open themselves up to a lawsuit on the grounds that they no longer fall under the safe harbor provisions of the CDA.
As far as I know that's simply legal theory at this point. But it does bring up the question of whether what Reddit is doing classifies them as a publisher. If they're a publisher, they're suddenly responsible for everything their users post (including things that run afoul of copyright).
The EFF has a good write-up on the topic including links to the statutes. IANAL, so my opinions are undoubtedly incorrect on the matter, but personally, I find it unlikely such a suit would ever go anywhere nor would a court find them in violation of section 230.

I've known about this site since it was launched but stayed on reddit simply because here I have to click each (image) post to open it, while on reddit I can just scroll casually and see everything. I think many people agree with me on that, and if they miss information now about the admin takeover they might end up (unaware) in a censored T_D with no reason to move here. To avoid that, I think the design here needs to be improved with more options and I think we should spam the shit out of reddit T_D so that nobody is left behind.

There's no way to just delete the sub? Shame, I remember Reddit being such a fun site until 2015-2016, now they've ruined their entire site over the past few years, all because orange man bad. Nowadays I only visit there for t_d and the few niche/game-specific subs, and even those are getting pozzed.
I remember they did this exact same thing really quietly to r/politics in 2016. When it turned from a partisan sub to the left-wing hellhole it is today. RIP T_D.
It was so obvious too. The r/politics sub went from a somewhat organic pro-Bernie place to full on shilling Hillary operation overnight. The 'tards there didn't seem to notice or care.
