Regular flu kills about 60k per year, infecting about 40M. This is estimated to infect around 4B, killing around 80M. It has a similar death rate yes (double the flu), but a ridiculously higher infectious rate. So yes, an ~80M death ceiling is scary compared to 50-100k....1,000 times worse.
Isn't coronavirus about as deadly as the regular flu? The panic seems excessive.

More contagious, more deadly. People are contagious before they show symptoms.
The media needed a narrative this week. It's dangerous in 3rd world conditions. If you feel a temperature go see your doctor. I'm not worried.
Edit: Stop eating bat soup and other weird things.
I read somewhere that the regular flu kills weakened people and this one kills healthy people.
But there so much information on the web - I don't know what's true or not...
Other way around. Normal flu kills young, old, and immunocompromised
This one only kills old, potentially more for males and smokers
