My liberal brother-in-law came over to my house today with a box of respiratory masks to "save us" from the coronavirus (yes, he was wearing one.) He warned us that there were none left at Lowe's. He was whining about how we need to go stock up on groceries, supplies and fill the vehicles up with gas, and that we should stay home - have no contact with people. Basically warning us that the world is about to end. Look, I stayed at home in New Orleans during Katrina and lived for months in its aftermath - I ain't scared. He kept railing about the "pandemic" so I just started to cough and pretended to blow my nose. So he left and told us he would leave food on the porch later. The guy is a lost cause.

I mean buying a mask in preparedness is a good thing, but his hysteria will lead more people to freak out and cause more panic then necessary. Though always good to have some food/water/etc in case of any emergency.
