I have been lurking here since created, never bothered to create an account till today so I could up-vote something, as is the current craze.
ZOMG THE ANIMATED UP-VOTE.
Since I only lurked I never saw it, never saw it mentioned. As the current thirst for up-voting is strong, lurkers, register now and enjoy, someone please reply with the full glory of what awaits beyond registration.
Also, when the backup becomes the primary, we need another backup, if you haven't already sign up at the applicable voat, poal, and whatever else I don't know about. They will eventually figure out they need to destroy the primary and backup together.

This is a privately owned website. The Mods own, fund, and operate it. How is it going to go away unless they want it to? They have backups and all handled just fine. The Mods are Gods here, and are solely in charge.
This can't be repeated enough. Once I did the same thing for another group that in my opinion really needed it. Same thing slow start then there was a moment and next thing explosive growth. The Mod Gods have done a wonderful thing for us and have our enduring gratitude.

You get it, their power is in centralized platforms. Ours is individual thought. Whatever ninja edited backups the mods have, if we do not know about them, to regroup individually, they are useless.

If you aren't technical please understand that your website needs to be on the internet, which you do not own, and there are a lot of things between your website and the end user on the internet, hell look at what happened to *GAB and cloud providers for another example, or I think Cloudfare have done something recently. There are lots of infra corps involved and they are all getting on the wrongthing mcbanhammer mentality.
