Nonsense. The reddit admins are the ones who took over and shut down the_donald. Go yell at them. The people who set this up are just trying to salvage the situation.
You need to go back and read about what exactly has happened. T_D mods didn't choose this, and the steps they have taken are designed to thwart what Reddit's admins are attempting; and to protect our users from automated actions (including possible bans just for voting) by the Reddit system.
Im in the same boat, but im not going to shit on the hand that feeds me. What do you have to back up your suggestion that this site is responsible for whats going on in reddit? Quarantine us? Ban us or fire mods or freeze our thread? Give me something, other than frustration cause we are all frustrated.. if not pull those boot straps up!
Exactly.. Less than 24 hours ago I was a mod on T_D. Reddit admins removed me without warning, they are taking over T_D and eliminating anyone who resists.
I get it reddit sucks. Unfortunately I don’t believe this site is an answer it will inevitably peter out and we won’t have shit. It also doesn’t have the possibility of putting our views in front of others like reddit does. I understand the quarantine killed that aspect but I thought we were trying to work out of that. What I’m saying is did the mods want to get out of quarantine or did they want people to come to the new site they spent so much time building and promoting.
Several mods were forcibly removed without warning by Reddit admins, who then started a thread for the stated purpose of installing new ones. Again please read the stickies over there. The situation is entirely out of our legit mods' control, and appears to be designed for the subreddit's replacement with a fake version populated by concern trolls, for the purpose of creating a narrative where Trump's biggest support base slowly turns against him.
Just asked on a post what the upvote thing was about. They said it was cause on thedonald people were getting warning messages for upvoting. I cant verify this but it could be an explanation.

I have no proof. Yesterday all the upvote posts felt like self sabotage, now they turn off posting. Doesn’t feel right to me.
