The folks over at ruqqus.com seem to have a firm handle on what made Reddit good- free speech and no vote manipulation. One feature I really like is that when a post is removed by the mods, it stays on the site but is just redirected to the general section, with all voting retained.

I've been hanging out there for a couple days and it doesn't have a The_Donald guild(their version of a subreddit). I'm building up points to be able to start one though.

This is mostly for the guys who used to frequent Reddit's other communities and want to stop supporting Reddit.

Also, the admins here have confirmed they're adding general purpose "subwins." It's in the feature pipeline. No ETA yet though.

Yup, I'm writing some tools that'll let me auto-cross post to here from other sites. Going to poach top content from my favorite boards and put them on our subwins once they're up. Content is the key to success, and if we have good content, we can attract people much easier.
