No they won't see a mythical crowd of teens. They will see a realistic crowd of illegals who can't even speak English and can't even get my order right half the time. I shit you not the burger joint down the street from me has given me patties which were clearly just microwave heated (not "flame grilled" as they claim") three times in the last two weeks. If there were other options I wouldn't go there anymore. They can't cook anything right there and it's always slow as fuck.

Also I worked fast food for five years. It was literally "receive order. Put patty in rolling grill, wait for it to come out. Follow the lamented instruction card posted above the prep station for the burger you're making. Wrap and put it in the warmer."

Zero skill required. I could grab a random off the street today and have them cooking burgers on their own by the end of the day. Meanwhile my current job requires federal certification, extensive background checks, and many people wash out because they cant handle the speed and attentiveness required to do the job successfully. Also it requires a lot of personal judgement and the ability to back up those judgements to internal committees whose sole job is to look at your work and find everything you did wrong.

Would love to see anyone working a kitchen in McDonalds handle my job for a day.

Shit I work in a kitchen. They would wash out of my kitchen before they could think of any other job. LOL!!

I respect actual chefs who take raw materials and turn them into delicious food. Not sure what kitchen you work in, so hopefully you dont take this as a sign of disrespect. Fast food is usually just packages of premade meals that they nuke in a microwave or put on a rolling grill and then stick in a warmer until the customer orders it.

Oh I know. Believe me I know. That's why i get fired up on that particular subject. I've never stepped foot in a fast food environment. I started young in real kitchens washing dishes. Now it's much better and I love it. I would have these fast food fucks scrubbing floors on their knees, and peeling potatoes for 12 hours. They can't even be trusted to dice an onion.
