Title says it all. What is going on in India, I see a lot of shit on "rising/new" posts on reddit and I just havent seen many articles about it. There seems to be a lot of blame on Trump for some riots, but I'm trying to figure it out.

Indian here: Our new law allows persecuted minorities from neighbouring Muslim countries like Christians Hindus Buddhists and zoroastrians to get citizenship faster. Left is crying because this discriminates against Muslims.
Very cool. Thanks for the info.
Y'all's relations with Pakistan and Bangladesh make our issues with Mexico look like a cake walk.
I'm just glad that someone is finally giving persecuted Christians safe harbor.
Probably just the "sky is falling/outrage of the week" theme of Reddit for the week. Remember when it was the Kurds?
India was a major front for the KGB's cultural infiltration and agitation throughout the Cold War. The echoes of their work there are still bouncing around.
India has a population of over a billion, so even a vanishingly small percentage of the population is still some 10's of thousands of militant communists being dicks.
It doesn't matter what's happening over there, no way to change it. Getting involved is a mistake for America so Trump won't. TRUMP 2020!
This is a fine sentiment, however India is one of our biggest allies against Islamic terrorism. It is in our best interest to let the Hindus and persecuted minorities such as Christians win there.
So let India deal with the problem. TRUMP said yesterday during the Corona speech, he is the President of the United States of America, not of other countries. TRUMP 2020!
