Just wanted to say that what's happening at the subreddit was bullshit (along with all of the other bullshit that the admins did)

I've been lurking there for years and learned a lot from you guys over several topics that I never see mentioned anywhere else.

Just note that the silent majority that lurk and simply read also vote. See you guys at the polls. Don't forget to register!

Eventually you’ll grow out of that simple view of history and realize there were no good guys in that war.

Hitler killed many Poles to get his way. I know, because I’ve seen the graves. He and Stalin were far more alike than different.

As a Polish-American, it frightens me to know that is what Steve Huffman and Jessica Ashooh intend for me as well.

That’s fake history. I am Polish. There was no massacre of the Germans, that was just a pretext for invasion. He obviously needed a reason that didn’t look like pure evil.

You notice he did the same thing in Czechoslovakia? He claimed that German minorities were threatened and then annexed the land he was planning to take anyway.

If you read Mein Kampf, he lays out his reasons quite clearly. He felt that the territory Germany lost in WWI still belonged to them. He also thought Germany would never be a great power if it did not have land like Russia, the US, or China. He also considered Slavs to be inferior.

How do you explain that? Or the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact? Germany signed an agreement with the Soviet Union to divide Poland up between themselves. This was prior to the invasion.

It’s just totally bizarre how you people cling to this weird theory. Let’s say you are totally correct, and Poland provoked Germany by attacking a German minority. Why was Poland completely unprepared for an invasion? You would think if you were provoking the enemy into attacking you, that you would be expecting a counterattack, which is what you would make preparations for.

And for such a successful invasion, Germany had to prepare its army and a strategy. How did they do this in advance of an unexpected attack on minority Germans?

You’re trying to tell me they magically had all these armaments during peacetime not because they were planning for a military invasion, but because.... ?

Where is the source material for these wild theories coming from?
