But the bioweapon deployed against their own people provided the perfect cover to hurt the American economy. The months of information suppression was not done to save themselves embarrassment. It was done to intentionally maximize the damage to Trump's machine and also to get the virus to spread as far and wide as possible so China could come out on top.
Hard to imagine China coming out on top of this. They rely on the international trade that's pulling away from them.
