I don't understand.

What does a giant robot have to do with anything?

Fallout 3 was a tremendous RPG hit back in the day, it was my first one as a kid when I was over at a kid's that was playing it. I wanted to impress him. : )

He got bored with it and went back to Call of Duty and gave me the disc and I played it all the way through.

Liberty Prime is the big robot and he would say cool anti communist things as you fought alongside him to clear the D.C. Swamp (real, not made up) of radioactive water sources to create fresh water for the good people of the area.

"Death is an acceptable alternative to Communism!!!" He would yell this out as Socialist Enclave troops from California were mowed down by us in the Brotherhood of Steel based in the ruins of the Pentagon.

I wish I could have played as Elder Lyons daughter, she was like me in the mirror, if it was pixelated AF! Lol.

Loved having Dogmeat as my companion, we had German Sheps growing up and it reminded me of what they could have been on real adventures like dogs want.

Thanks for letting me know because I never played any of the Fallout games.

You are quite welcome! F3 was great but F3: New Vegas was the absolute best! Replayed so many times.

F:4 Boston I never finished, it felt very social justice warrior preachy. The awkward Apple Computers genius bar that was the The Institute. MIT gone Commie, no thanks.

F: 76? Cancelled it before delivery. It was stillborn anyway.

@cilantro

Whoa whoa whoa, Missy... You're missing the two best of the entire franchise!

Fallout 2 and New Vegas!

You never played either?

That is awesome! I really liked Liam Neison voice acting as your father in that one. He is so calming and comforting. Learning my ABC's with him as a toddler was so precious.

Loved that I could go on forums and find out stuff and where it was hidden. I'll never forget finding that rifle in a hollowed out tree outside of megaton, so tired of that useless poisoned stick or club. Like WTF! : )

The first excursion into the SuperDuper Mart? area was terrifying. What is that! Holy crap! Back to megaton, back inside the gates! Aggghhhhh!

I'd only played side scroller games like mario before that. F3 was like being tossed into deep, shark infested water.

Once the nice guys on the forums let me know I was a scardy cat ranged weapon user at heart, I relaxed and stayed clear of big bad monsters. Melee isn't for me! The surprise black bear and scorpion attacks had me running like the wind!

Yaogui (the bears) are the worst. Cazadores are probably my least favorite enemy in the game. Carried a flamethrower just for them ?

Deathclaws are brilliant AF, but the hardest to wreck.

I used the anti-materiel rifle from a high spot, always climbing in that one. In the valleys? No thanks. Up high all you had to worry about was the ghekos most of the time.

As far as the flying wasp things, I was having my butt handed to me until I had what you Brits call a 'brain wave'. I traveled back to the place with the roller coaster and got ED-E as a companion. That and high sneak skill as a regular level up perk. Whenever I saw the red dots moving fast in a group on the HUD show up, I'd direct him to them and run for cover, usually water if I could find it, they don't travel out into it.

That old marina area left ED-E with a lot of damage to get it cleared, but as a robot I did not feel as bad as when Dogmeat was hurt. Coming to help you boy! Hold on! Get away from my dog you bastards!

Nice chat, have a great weekend!
