The human ego is a silly and persistent thing that affects everyone.
Certain places don't let you post unless you have a certain amount of karma within the sub... circular logic, I know... since you need karma to post and to post you need karma.
That being said, I always saw Karma as more of a 'how relevant is this persons opinion' within T_D. Someone with a 2mth old account and 5 karma telling me I'm a libtard is probably an actual libtard themselves. Someone with 3yrs and 2,000,000 karma farmed within T_D is probably someone trying to talk sense into me. Having 160k+ makes you feel like you're saying at least some things right.

When I was in Middle School in the early 1970s these tshirt shops started popping up all over where you could pick a shirt and then get various designs ironed / transferred onto them. There were two specific shirts I always wanted that my mother would never let me get: the one with two fried eggs (one over each boob,) and the one with two pigs in police uniforms fucking that said. "Makin' Bacon!" I haven't thought about that since Carter was president. XD
Holy cow, I remember those tshirts too...the designs were that thick, plastic-y iron on transfer stuff that was really hot in the summer. The ones I remember were a "Keep On Truckin'" one and another with the Asteroids videogame art on it. Good times!
Yepper. They were hot and sticky and the transfers always cracked in the wash. In the 6th or 7th grade my BFF and I got the set where one said "I'm with stupid --->" and the other said "Stupid." I never wanted to wear the "Stupid" one until I started going to punk rock shows ('77) at which point it became my favorite and coolest shirt. XD

Made the account here a while back and fought with myself over staying and fighting it out or making them take a user hit, even if just me.
Installed biggest one I think with https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Jessica_Ashooh . I assumed t_d was compromised pretty close to the same time mods got shit canned. Lingered long enough to see if it was going to be worth sticking around to fight or not, but having to use a request to submit a post looked like the death nell. Went thru 4 pages of other subs and nothing new from t_d.
