Nigeria has a case. I'm assuming that they have a lot more cases, but like most places (mostly Chine) they are underreporting. Either that or they don't have test kits. My friend was doing peace corp in west Africa during Ebola. They had a lot more cases, but the infrastructure and reporting just wasn't great.
That is the problem with the "Dark Continent" (note that this is not a racist term - has nothing to do with race). Most of Africa is third-world, and rarely is heard about in the news. All kinds of evil shit happens there and we never hear about it. And when we do, we quickly lose interest. It really is a shame.
They still have problems with Ebola in a few areas. Whatever happens with Coronavirus will have to compete for recognition amongst all the other shit that goes on over there.
I've been wondering about that, myself. There has been a LOT of Chinese travel, the health care system is poor, and so the area is at high risk for a pandemic.
Is there anyone left in Africa? I thought the entire population was in Europe and the US by now.
News will be coming and it won't be good once it starts.
