While most of you guys have instantly fallen in love with thedonald.win, a number of people have had questions about this place. I'd like to take a moment to answer them.

Unfortunately, shadowman didn’t actually address the underlying motive and we will have to put him on the spot to find out what the actual plans for the future are for the site.

At some point, the lack of transparency will be unacceptable. As it stands, using the site is helping him reach a goal that isn’t clearly evident. I’d like to keep pushing the issue until we get some answers. Whatever is on his agenda should be out in the open. Especially if using the site is bringing him to that end.

That kind of healthy skepticism is one of the reasons they do not want money. One of his responses in that post is that there have been attempts to monetize in the past that came across as sketchy and they do not want to repeat that.

Ask him! Ask any of them - they are listed to the right and toward the bottom.

I’ve been here since the start of the site, despite having to start a second account recently.

The issue with funding is the cover for whatever their plans are. We’ve already asked, but haven’t received any feedback which suggests the motive for remaining financially isolated has to do with future plans which aren’t being expressed.

As a business owner of 20 years, I can tell you nothing is free. The only reason to prevent financial input from the people using the product is to remain in complete control of the moves, ownership and decisions within the business. We are the product at the moment and unless there is a change, we will be the workhorses that bring them to the finish line.

The analogy I used yesterday was Facebook. It was free at the beginning because they needed a user base large enough to sell the product to advertisers. If the people can’t put forth to the promotion of the space then it must be concluded that there is a long term aspect which isn’t being revealed.

My guess here is they are planning to create a new social media platform that rivals the competition with the end result being ownership of a large money making website that doesn’t resemble what we have at the moment.

I think agenda was a poor choice of words on my part. A better representation would be business model. There is no way they would do this thankless work just to supply a handful of people with a place to cheerlead for a president.

They are creating a product. It’s a business opportunity for the people who have invested. If the site takes off they will reap the benefits of owning the site. As it stands, we are literally working for free to produce enough engagement for a viable social media platform. There are a myriad of possibilities, especially if they create a product that transcends a Donald Trump bandwagon, but none of them are based on the expectation of the mods paying for a 5 year party.
