Smells like skunk

I never understood why they made a beer in such a hot sunny country, and put it in clear bottles where you would be sure it oxidize and smell like skunk. That's why we put our beer in brown bottles and it's no where near is sunny in most of America than it is in Mexico. I never got that, even the Brits use brown bottles and they have very low sunlight there.

I read somewhere the clear bottles were so they could use UV to aid with water purification after bottling in case any impurities remained. However, this has a negative impact on yeast/bottle conditioning and of course skunky flavor.

I have noticed Corona isn't the only one from warmer climates and countries with a less than stellar reputation for water, to come in a clear or light colored bottle.
