Exactly! 4D Chess all the way.

ThomasGiferson 110 points ago +111 / -1

Schumer? Sure, he might be unhappy. But the one weeping will probably be Richard Burr, GOP chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee and participant in the coup attempt.

91
Shwoogin 91 points ago +92 / -1

Mitch McConnell needs to get his head out of his ass and kick Burr the fuck off that committee. Senate Intel is 100% compromised and a tool of the State.

51
ThomasGiferson 51 points ago +56 / -5

Burr is probably the CIA's minion, so McConnell would be taking them on directly if he tried to shit can their boy.

Frankly, I have serious doubts about McConnell. He's done nothing at all to help Trump get loyal people into his own government, or he's even actively thwarted Trump here.

40
Gramma53 40 points ago +41 / -1

But they have confirmed sooo many conservative judges. That is fantastic!

24
ThomasGiferson 24 points ago +25 / -1

Yes. That's why I'm confused. A lot of conservative judges would make it harder, it would seem, for the Deep State/globalists/Leftists, to effect their agenda.

23
420MAGA 23 points ago +23 / -0

Burr is more loyal to Warner than to his constituents. One of the swampiest people in DEC

22
nocucks 22 points ago +22 / -0

Doesn't matter how many good judges there are (assuming those being confirmed are actually good). All you need is one compromised one and you can just run everything through them. See Amy Berman Jackson.

16
ThomasGiferson 16 points ago +16 / -0

True. But the more conservative judges there are, the harder it is to do this.

15
doug2 15 points ago +15 / -0

Appeals courts that have multiple judges, with decisions that get decided on by a majority? You can't do it in that system. Remember how annoying the 9th was? We can do that permanently. Look a radical leftist will win someday. I know. It sucks, but they will. They will probably have all 3, house senate and executive, at some point. We need a strong courts system that will hold them to the constitution. Trump and McConnell have done that incredibly well. It is a long play but vital to the ultimate course our nation takes.

From a North Carolinian, I apologize for Burr. What a piece of shit.

60
IncredibleMrE1 60 points ago +60 / -0

This. Remember, Mitch and the SSCI told Ratcliffe/POTUS last time that Ratcliffe was basically DOA. That was why Ratcliffe withdrew.

POTUS re-nominating him is basically telling the Senate swamp rats to go fuck themselves.

32
snuggs316 32 points ago +33 / -1

sundance posted yesterday that fisa renewal was leverage to get ratcliffe's nomination passed. if i read it correctly, sd suggest that in that in order to get ratcliffe passed, the fisa renewal deadline would be extended. i may be wrong about the ins and outs specifically....

13
Shwoogin 13 points ago +14 / -1

I don't get it. What does Ratcliffe have to do with the FISA legislation? Have a link, or mind elaborating?

Treepers are the best, very intelligent comments.

5
GeminiSi 5 points ago +7 / -2

That guy has been a broken record and wrong many times. Call him on it, and he'll block you.

  1. He said the Senate would allow Trump to be impeached by a simple majority based on his misunderstanding of Senate impeachment rules - wrong.
  2. He said Lindsey Graham and co. would help deny Kavanaugh the nomination --wrong
  3. He initially thought Rosenstein was helping Trump - wrong
  4. He's basically a broken record that Mitch McConnell is Trump biggest enemy.
  5. He worships POTUS and does not acknowledge, that Trump has made some real errors with his hiring in the past. Like POTUS is beyond reproach.
4
deleted 4 points ago +5 / -1
1
inquimouse 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wouldn't say he worships POTUS. I was there in 2015 and in the beginning he didn't particularly like Trump but could see how he would upset the Uniparty (because the whole Deep State thing hadn't emerged yet). Since then he is all MAGA but very paranoid about how POTUS is naive and the DS will trick him. But regardless, Sundance still has the most facts available and good insight into the bad guys.

-20
b0yzero -20 points ago +2 / -22

Sundance is definitely NOT the best MAGA analysis on the internet. He's a complete moron and a Q denier. Controlled opposition at its best.

15
Biganus 15 points ago +18 / -3

Q denier

Lmao. The Q stuff is complete nonsense believed only by boomers.

12
snuggs316 12 points ago +12 / -0

it's a trade-off with mcconnell, in order to push the nom thru.

9
Shwoogin 9 points ago +9 / -0

Meaning the Trumpster would sign a renewal if Mitch would get him the votes to get Ratcliffe through nomination?

16
snuggs316 16 points ago +17 / -1

that was my take on it...but it's also why i mentioned it...to make sure that others had the same reaction.

two weeks ago yesterday, my guy was in a bad car wreck...he's fine (nothing worse than very sore muscles and a mild concussion), but the car was t-boned and totaled. for two weeks, we've dealt with insurance companies, rental cars, car dealerships and buying a new car, plus work and the rest of lifie. i'm telling you all this to say, as of yesterday, i have maybe two working brain cells, and they may not be working in conjunction with each other. so my analysis, usually keen and insightful (smirk), may be....lacking.

12

22

Mitch and the SSCI basically told Ratcliffe last time he was nominated that he was DOA. Doesn't have a swamp creature pass.

18
IncredibleMrE1 18 points ago +18 / -0

It's also why Mitch and the SSCI told him "no" last time. POTUS is calling their bluff.

12
Marshall 12 points ago +14 / -2

My suspicion is that McConnell was protecting Romney last time and now he's mad at Romney for breaking ranks. Romney is neck deep in the Deep State corruption.

8
Lion_Party 8 points ago +8 / -0

Theories like this that don't include McConnell as being a deep state piece of shit are mind boggling. How does ANY Trumper defend Romney EVER. Like EVER. McConnell Is NOT ON OUR TEAM. He plays it really close, but he fucks up 90% of the really big stuff and pretends it isn't his fault.

7

So what's happened here? Has Ratcliffe miraculously developed a set of balls? Last time he withdrew (as I remember) it was because of 'family reasons'; not wanting to expose his family to the scrutiny and Democrat smear flak. So disappointing at the time to see Ratcliffe wilt away and abandon Trump. So what's changed? Ratcliffe decides--"fuck it, my family will just have to suffer"??

He was very effective during the Scampeachment. He is a win-win for POTUS. There were allegations of resume padding in the first nomination, which contributed to withdrawal. So. . . If that happens again, Grenell gets to keep “Acting” status at least up to election. If he gets confirmed, Ratcliffe is a very smart&savvy operator.
