Authoritarianism sucks....from one side or the other. O!d people see things different from young, young different from old. That's democracy. Saying everyone sees things the same...is authoritarianism. And that sucks all the way around. There are scientific truths......1+1=2. But there are sociological issues that are not hard and fast truths......what is God, who is God, what is kindness, what is justice, spare the rod, spoil the child.......sociology isn't science. It's nuance.

But you would acknowledge the FACT that she felt cold....... "fact" being the key word. Factually, your granny felt cold regardless of the thermometer reading. Fact. And that "fact" was her "truth". She "truthfully" felt cold, no matter what the thermometer read.
