There was an image going around for some time with text describing a story their father, a sheriff I believe, told them of an incident "you wouldn't hear about from the government." IIRC it took place in the 80's and involved a honeypot operation to catch extremists (possibly white nationalists?) in a sort of domestic terror plot, only each member of the group turned out to be an undercover agent from a different government agency, FBI, ATF, local sheriff, DEA, etc. If anybody here remembers and can share a link I'd really appreciate it!
