Why don’t we all start wearing masks now? If you don’t or can not get any make one your self! Get creative!
Find clear plastic for face guard for example some two sided tape to cover eyes.
Make a mouth and nose cover use your imagination!
I saw one made out of a Kotex
ONCE you start thinking about you come up with all kinds of ways to block germs and viruses getting into your mouth,eyes, or nose.

Masks are best saved for people who are coughing and sneezing. They are not very good for protecting people who are not sick.

Be careful, many people cannot simply use a homemade mask, causes breathing problems and anxiety attacks and other problems.
Airborne virii are not stopped just because you cover your mouth and eyes, you need a good seal all around....actually for this shiite only a full hazmat suit works.
But yes, take precautions around crowds, sure.

A mask does not prevent you from getting the virus, they are meant for people who already have it to prevent them from spreading it by capturing fluids when they cough and sneeze. Don't spread unnecessary fear.

I'm not too worried about catching the virus. I am concerned about what will happen if large numbers of people panic. I stay a lot of the year in Florida, right in the path of many hurricanes, so we're always already pretty well prepped. My nightmare scenario is having to fight crowds in stores where there is little stock and jacked up prices. It doesn't ever hurt to have nonperishable food, some basic first aid supplies, spare toiletries and cleaners, etc. on hand. You don't need to get batshit crazy hoarding to be ready in case of an emergency. I might want to wear a mask if I had to go to the airport or something. But if this area gets quarantined I'm making a cocktail and playing video games until further notice. ?
