Look I love you guys, national pride, wanting to keep your culture intact, resist foreign billionaire funded social obliteration, I'm with you every step of the way. But a virus doesn't give a shit, and a virus that can spread for up to 14 days without showing any symptoms in its American, or foreign host, really doesn't care less how high your wall is.
I'm not trying to scare monger, I just worry about complacency. The denialists are saying "the common cold/flu kills more ever year", how do you know? this has only been going for 4 months?? it infects approximately 40% of the population and kills between 1-4% of those. Doesn't sound like much does it? catch it and you have an 99-96% chance of survival. Only one issue, when you expand that to include the critically ill and it overwhelms almost every health care service in every country on earth, add that to the fact and that an epidemic would usually last for up to 2-3yrs, and you start to see why people who work in the field are very worried. In 4 months this virus has entered 40 countries including America, the USA is probably the country with the best health services to control the spread, but China literally has people locked up in their apartment buildings to stop this. This guy seems to have a real handle on the situation without being a drama llama https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF9IOB2TExg3QIBupFtBDxg
the wall is just symbolic the real meaning behind this post is that border security is of utter importance. We shouldnt just let anyone in we gotta check them first or else its a national health and safety threat.. Which is what trump is pushing for unlike libs who risk getting us all fucked
If you think a wall doesn't help stop the spread of a virus that you've already admitted spreads faster in countries that aren't the US, then I've got news for you bud.
In addition, if the coronavirus only has a 2% fatality rate, a good question to ask: why is italy using the military to block off and quarantine entire cities? It's just the flu right? They aren't a communist country like china. But even china went to extremes, they welded people inside apartment complexes.
I think the only thing we really know for sure is that this virus is super super contagious. We have the best healthcare in the world, but the hospitals can only hold so many people at once. I think it's safe to say, you are probably going to get it, and you are probably going to be fine. But even if it ends up having a 2% mortality rate, you will probably know somebody who dies from this.
The real question is, how does warmer weather affect it? Keep an eye on the southern hemisphere which is summer weather right? Or even Florida for that matter.

Question - is Iran cold right now?
(edit just checked - it's not balmy - high of 61ºF - hell, my state is warmer than that.)
People are acting retarded over it. It really isn't bad at all
