If you look at the rate of increase in both the cases of new victims of Coronavirus and the increase in recovery, then barring mass outbreaks or under reported numbers, it is burning itself out.

It is around 85000-86000 and I am surprised if it reaches 100000
A month ago there was 7700 cases. now 85000. IN real terms it jumped up around 78000 cases in 30 days but only 10000 in the last 11 days and slowing quickly. Massive acceleration but now it has started slowing down mightily. The recovery rate has picked up and with more and more recovered people and less people getting infected it will burn out soon.
Now this does not mean that there will be no new cases in the US but the 2-3 current extra cases a day will shrink and the recovery rate will pick up.
The death rate is around 2% and this tends to be very ill or old people. Most who get it are not seriously ill and recover quickly.
I do not think the total number of people in the US will reach 90 and in a population of 380 million. That is not so bad.
Most people who get the disease will be far away from the US and pose no risk to the US. People need to calm down and Nancy and her ilk need to be voted out.
China and Iran would NEVER under-report their numbers!

Every few years there is some new super virus out of Asia and they all eventually fade into obscurity. The media loves to scare monger, especially is its something they can use to make Trump look bad. In a month or two the media will move on to something else that they think will spell the end for Trump.

Now the figure in the US of current cases is 66 but that includes Diamond Princess cases not included in the US map. The Non-Diamond Princess cases is 22 cases of which 7 are recovered. You can see the trajectory of the existing cases in the right bottom corner and the recovery.

Look I do not wish corona on anyone. (Not even George Soros or Hillary Clinton) but it appears that the numbers of people being infected seems to be slowing. If the numbers are under-reported and significantly higher, it still appears to be burning out and the increase slowing and the recovery rate increasing.
I do not think that there will be no further cases. I am sure there will be and maybe countries posting their first case but there will also be people recovering and still included in the overall total, even though they have now recovered.
"Its up to 86000!" is really "49000 still infected" These numbers again may be higher but I think it is following the same arc
