I was at a rock/punk concert tonight in california and wore my MAGA cap. During the middle of the show someone broke of from the mosh pit to fight me. Didn't end well for him, he ate a few punches and pissed off.

Crowd turns into a circle and his biggest friend comes after me....I'm not big...5'11 and wiry, 150 on a good day. He was about 6'2 but not to strong, we sparred for a good minute or so, mainly me blocking and playing the distance game, he ended up overcommitting to a punch and I got on his back and choked him out.

While I'm choking him out the guy that started it tackled me off of him and tried to punch me up but didn't really land anything. After about 20 seconds I flipped him over and started landing punches, security broke us up about 5 seconds later. Fucking cowards.

Sounds more like it was a couple of worms.

Eh, the biggest danger from a Communist SoyBoy is the initial sucker punch. Their lack of self-esteem/self-maintenance means that they don't have the muscle to last long in a sustained fight, and their cowardly nature means that they'll usually try to flee a fight as soon as they start it. If you can dodge their first few blows (or at least minimize the impact of them by rolling with the punches), even a basic once-a-week workout routine could be enough to win a fight against them through sheer stamina, let alone physical strength. Couple that with some proper footwork and punch techniques (keep your guard up, thumb OUTSIDE your fist, keep your guard up, lead with your index/middle knuckles, keep your guard up, keep your wrist straight as you punch, keep your guard up, twist your lower body with the punch, keep your guard up, only punch with one arm at a time, keep your guard up, don't take your eyes off of your opponent, KEEP YOUR GUARD UP), and you'll likely be fine (or at the very least able to defend yourself until event/venue security arrive).

With OP, his biggest issue was the size difference with the second aggressor: more height means more reach (and generally more weight behind those longer-reaching hits), so you have to stay far enough away to keep out of the big guy's reach while staying close enough that you can capitalize on any of the big guy's mistakes ad move in close (read: "too close for his full strength/maneuverability and close enough for your blows to hit hard") for the finishing blow/blows.

Don't only keep your guard up, keep your eyes open.

keep your guard up, don't take your eyes off of your opponent, KEEP YOUR GUARD UP

Yep, already said that. I only repeated "keep your guard up" so much because keeping it up uses more energy than letting your arms hang lower, so drilling that particular aspect in to the point that it's practically muscle memory helps even newbies protect their head and upper body in a fight.

Sorry, didn't see that part... guess I should have kept my eyes open.

You're dead on about everything you said. Even if your opponent connects with your guard, it won't carry the same effect as a naked blow against your skull. In a fight your adrenaline is burning pretty good so you don't feel a lot, but a sledgehammer hit against your temple will knock you the fuck out - which is why you need to keep your guard up!
