I was at a rock/punk concert tonight in california and wore my MAGA cap. During the middle of the show someone broke of from the mosh pit to fight me. Didn't end well for him, he ate a few punches and pissed off.

Crowd turns into a circle and his biggest friend comes after me....I'm not big...5'11 and wiry, 150 on a good day. He was about 6'2 but not to strong, we sparred for a good minute or so, mainly me blocking and playing the distance game, he ended up overcommitting to a punch and I got on his back and choked him out.

While I'm choking him out the guy that started it tackled me off of him and tried to punch me up but didn't really land anything. After about 20 seconds I flipped him over and started landing punches, security broke us up about 5 seconds later. Fucking cowards.

Elder pede here. The Clash and Sex Pistols defined much of the late 70s and early 80s for me and my friends. Anarchism was in the air. Hippies were viewed as pathetic, lost losers. I say that to say this: I don't see how a punk can be anything but conservative. So-called punks who support big government schemes and politicians simply don't understand the punk ethos.

pretty much. I was always considered punk, played in a punk band, was a big part of the music scene, etc, and even when I grew up and began to be... I guess less identifiable as a punk, it was still at the heart of my ideology. I've been politically active since about 2005, and have always hated both parties, but have definitely hated the ideology of the left more. In 2008 I was a big Ron Paul fan, but knew he wasn't going to win, so I mostly just continued shitting on the establishment, and big government. It wasn't until Trump came along that I actually felt any hope for our country, and for any political party. But yea, anyone that calls themselves punk, and identified with left/liberal politics, is a poser and a hypocrite. They're the punk that wears the uniform to fit in with their friends, not the real punk that supports individualism and distrusts big govt
