Pedes, I have been a lurker in t_d for a long time (RIP), and this would have been my first post ever. Right after the election, my then fiance was dissapointed that I voted for my boy Trump. She said "I wish you didn't tell me that." After he was elected, she referred to him as Not-My-President. I was a sad Pepe, but I knew she just didn't understand conservatism.
I asked her to marry me during the best 4 years, and since then, we've bought a house and started an awesome life in a liberal city. Each and every day, we talk, just a little, about the news, though early on, I left her alone about my Trump-patriotism. Slowly, I thought she was coming around...

Yesterday I noticed her ballot came in the mail, she left it on the counter and I noticed that her party affiliation had changed TO REPUBLICAN! (we live in Florida). She also talked yesterday about "crazy liberals" who would probably "key our car if they knew who we were voting for."

Pedes, I have rarely been so proud. Time to put a baby in that!

Best, Spee

You're so lucky!! My wife of nearly 50 years is so devoted to the sinking demonrat party that she once again brought up the HUGE gulf between us in how we view the world-I'm living in Groundhog Day!! At least once or twice a year she goes into a deep funk, I walk on eggshells knowing the shit's going to drop, and then it does-only this time-I blasted her with no less than 6 egregious, illegal, criminal treasonous crimes of her beloved muslim traitor and told her-your CZ grandfather didn't fight in Europe and suffer from mustard gas poisoning for the rest of his long life fighting for socialism and your father didn't fight in Europe and have his health permanently destroyed after being thrown in a POW camp to fight for socialism-THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU VOTE IN NOV!!! MAGA!!

Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a newly married wife from her mother-in-law– And a man's foes will be they of his own household. [Mic. 7:6.] Matthew 10:34‭-‬36 AMPC https://bible.com/bible/8/mat.10.34-36.AMPC

But I will pray for you. Hang in there!

It's great to be married to a supporter. She watches Fox business while I scour the Internet for news, including this dom - we then take some time to compare notes and discuss relevant news. Life is good.

15
Crimson_Identity 15 points ago +17 / -2

Can you really trust any news that isn't posted here? I'm being serious. How do we even know what's real? I mean, I trust what's here because I trust you guys, and the upvotes filter out the trash, but for instance, the recent shooting? Did it actually affect a single person you know? So how do we even know it happened for sure, in today's fake news world?

2
Brendan123746 2 points ago +2 / -0

Everything even stuff posted here has bias and news all throughout history has been littered with bullshit. The best is first hand accounts. An example is speaches. If you hear someone said x. See if you can find him actually saying that then compare how your source reported what he said. This can help filter out the bullshit and bullshit sources.

I watch Fox Business, except for Neil Cavuto. TBH, I only watch FOX News at night. Since I read a lot or hang here, I only really pay attention to Tucker Carlson, then turn down the sound while Hannity and Ingraham get my ratings.

It's kind of the opposite in my house, I'm the hard core Trump supporter. My husband is a registered Republican, but was never really a Trump supporter and he didn't even vote in the last election. He even had some weird views on gun laws and gun ownership and kind of supported red flag laws. Recently he's been making comments about how stupid the Dems are and is now on board with me. He'll now talk about how unconstitutional red flag laws are (finally!) and has started to talk about building our arsenal.

30
Kolob 30 points ago +31 / -1

My husband was an apolitical knee-jerk Republican when we married. He knew nothing of the deep state rats in the party. Now we are in alignment more. I swing in the direction of pragmatic libertarianism. Trump may well save the R's. We need to elect order to the house and senate

Congrats! 3.5 years ago, I would have characterized my wife as a trump hating rhino. In that time I've managed to move the bar to solid Republican and never trumper. Though if that millionaire socialist wins the primary, I think I can persuade her to actually vote for trump.

It helps that the '20 Democrat candidates will be your best allies in redpilling her. :D Best of luck!

The red pill can't be force fed all at once to some.... It has to be administered slowly, in little bites. The eyes start to open. Then they start looking for their own red pills, talking larger bites, until finally, their eyes are wide open as the veil of lies has been removed

17
Quietwolfkingcrow 17 points ago +17 / -0

It seems like everyone has to red pill their wives. My dad raised us red pilled and my bro and I red pilled my husband very early on.

4
OhLollyLollyPop 4 points ago +4 / -0

I grew up in a Republican family. My Dad was the local Republican Party chairman for a while in the early 1970s. I was blessed to find to find an accomplished, Republican man to marry. We had 41 years together, two Republican daughters married to Republican husbands.

3
NewVoatAccountName 3 points ago +3 / -0

It depends a lot on how people were brought up. If you were raised by salt-of-the-earth fact-based patriots, then you're more likely to love this country and not let your feelings get in the way of logic and reason. If you were raised by either hippies or the Socialist-infested public school system, then you're more likely to constantly view yourself/others as victims and do everything you can to avoid getting your feelings hurt.

There are plenty of men who don't have enough physical/mental strength to resist a light wind, and there are plenty of women who are just as strong-willed/determined as the other cowboys in their neck of the woods.

I host thanksgiving at my beach house in Bethany Beach, DE every year, 25-30 friends and family, we have some politicians in the family, even a former Governor, we're almost all Democrats. This year the change in politics was tremendous, I was not prepared, so many have related exactly the same sentiments and experiences as I've been going through, that is, being a forever Dem who now, by all logic, is a Republican. Even my newly-married gay brother and his husband have flipped, actually, his husband is gay, black, and from the South, and he's more conservative than my brother! It felt good to have honest conversations, it actually felt great to have civil discussions with those of all points of view, no screaming, no guilt tripping or name calling, just friendly talking about how we felt and what we were seeing and in the end we all remained civil and friendly and I thought we came out stronger afterwards. This is my house, my rules, so the rule was no politics until after dinner as well as the Sunday afterwards. The objective and civil talks were great, something missing from today's identity politics world where so many people choose their political beliefs then use those to determine who they are, nah, my family has always been good at knowing who they were first, then applying that ideology to the politics to determine their political identity AFTER they've determined their personal identity. Doing this allows for someone to not just accept critical thought about their political beliefs, but accept internally critical and objective thought as well, no fucking safe spaces and echo chambers.

16
1683commenceagain 16 points ago +16 / -0

My wife doesn't care too much about politics, and since we live in Europe she was always lukewarm to my praise of what Trump is doing. Today, she told me that she is starting to understand my point of view. She had stumbled upon a compilation of Trump's speeches and actually hearing the man speak is what made her rethink all the hatred she has seen for him in the media and from pretty much every single European around us.

8
Tellsyouhow 8 points ago +8 / -0

Must have been a flaw in the YouTube algorithm for her to stumble upon some Trump speeches. Normally they are hidden well away.

YouTube even notified me of a new Tommy Robinson video yesterday despite his account being quarantined. First time in years.

They must have agreed with the content which was against forced teaching LGBT stuff in primary schools (kids under 10 roughly in the UK) and he stated he actually agreed with the Muslim protesters for this issue.

2
OhLollyLollyPop 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think Z is PO'd about Soros trying to oust him from his own company that he owns the majority of. The Soros cartel buys in and tries to blackmail the company to go radical left globalist. Look at all of the major companies that have gone cucktard. Soros is the Mafia.

1
Cue_Cumber 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh hell, the Mafia is the Easter Bunny compared to Soros.

2

16

My husband was the leading force in my red-pilling as well—I was a super liberal when I met him. It’s so much better on this side.

4

Yeah. You can do things like relax, breath, speak your mind, have an independent thought . . . the list is endless.

15

My wifes family have always voted democrat and they recently told me they'll probably stay home in November regardless on who the dnc gives the nom to.

They still won't vote Trump, but at least they won't vote democrat this fall

7
txladyvoter 7 points ago +7 / -0

That's a win!

2
OhLollyLollyPop 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's fine. I think you might see a lit of that, especially from the older crowd. Not that many older people seen in Bernie talks. If Biden gets the nomination, they will probably vote.

7
Cue_Cumber 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm elderly (gawd that stings!) and you could stand me up at the gates of hell and I'll still vote for Pres. Trump. I may or may not be around much longer, but at least I can vote to leave a better nation, with a brighter future for all it's citizens, behind me when I go. If I do nothing else, I can do that.

Right on! Give her our welcome aboard! My wife is the one who cemented my support for Trump. She brought me around and after doing my own research and seeing things for myself, I put both feet on the Trump Train. No looking back.

8
KilroyJCNJ 8 points ago +9 / -1

When I first started going out with my now-wife, she was total blue-city Union-brainwashed. First time I turned radio on to Rush she said “How can you listen to that racist??!?!?!” I asked if she had ever listened to him before, she said “why would I listen to a racist like that?” I said that if you never listened to him, how do you know he is racist? I got her to listen with the proviso she could turn him off whenever he said something racist.

Fast forward a bunch of years, and she cannot wait to tune in to Rush/Hannity/Levin and we schedule activities so we do not miss a Trump Rally on TV!

So I know EXACTLY how you feel - RED-Pilling is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Awesome! My husband was kind of non-political but had voted democrat in the past and probably would have again. We used to watch CNN and after the gay marriage decision came down (which I'm not necessarily against) I told him, "ah hell, that's all they're going to talk about 24/7 for the next 3 weeks, let's look at Fox". And now he hates the fake media and will vote Trump!

I'm sure hoping that you are right and that Tarrant County stays red. Demrats sure are after Kay Granger in the election.

And there's a lady called Elianor Vessali on Rush's program whose commercials I hear. She is running in Bryan/Waco/College Station and sounds very pro-Trump and very energetic but the commericial just makes it hard to figure out how her name is spelled.

I am an immigrant who's married to a former liberal American woman. She used to suffer from TDS and all.

I can't vote yet, but my wife sure as hell has done a 180 and began to understand what's at stake. That's one more vote for Trump.

She is now sick of the bs she's been fed during college. She has visited my home country and has seen with her own eyes the filth that left policies create (because visiting California isn't enough). She now truly appreciates being and American and loves this country.

We will have as many babies as we can and I will make sure they understand the privilege and blessing that is to be born and to live in this country. I will be damned if I let socialism create roots in my household.

Congratulations OP, nothing like raising a family with a great partner.

Congrats on the red-pilling! I met an ex-Dim yesterday at our precinct caucuses. He was talking the talk, so I don't think he was a wolf-in-sheep's clothing. Those with brain cells are coming around.

6
Danmax67 6 points ago +6 / -0

Awesome. We were sort of the reverse. My wife (a legal Latin-American immigrant) was on board form day one. I was sort of an amused libertarian but figured I had not choice but to vote for him because Hillary. Now we both have no brakes!

5
TrumpOrTreason 5 points ago +5 / -0

Congrats! You gave birth to new Pede!

4
crusadetiem 4 points ago +4 / -0

My own dear wife voted libertarian in 2016. At least she has the sense not to vote for shillary. She also used to laugh at me for being, in her words, "so hung up" on abortion and guns. But she's been watching the same news as I have, and listening to Albert Mohler to boot, and has become an enthusiastic Trump fan. May have been a harder sell if the Dems could field a moderate.. but they can't!

Now if you really want to stick it to the Man, love your wife well forever. Oh, and make kids and love them too, and raise them to be proud of where they come from.

4
Those_Who_Wander 4 points ago +4 / -0

My spouse refuses to take the Red Pill, she just licks it on occasion. She is highly indoctrinated/emotionally invested in Hollywood "product"/Leftist propaganda. I've been trying to point out to her all the "woke" anti-American/anti-male/anti-tradition propaganda devices that MSM/Hollywood hammer on, but as a target-audience consumer she is so immersed in their narratives she can't see it (because these obvious treacheries have become so "normalized.")

>however

The Tolerant Left™ has become so authoritarian and easily-triggered by normalcy that even a MSM-obsessed person like Mrs. Independentbystander will start to notice. I have been blowing her mind with news from independent sources on the stories MSM either misreport, or refuse to cover. She is slowly but surely starting to see that MSM/Hollywood are deliberately lying and sowing racial/class/social division and unrest. She is also seeing that the minions of the Tolerant Left™ are the ones making unreasonable/illogical demands, and attacking people for having a different opinion.

Before you "put a baby in that", just make sure that she wants one too. If she's not in the right state of mind for having a child, she might still use contraceptives on her end to minimize the chance, or she might even go to an abortion clinic if the contraceptives "fail" and she does get pregnant.

Congrats on your new upcoming bundle of joy!

Vaccines are poison. Make sure to make a personally informed decision and consider a midwife. My bros 3 kids were all delivered in a pool at home in less than 1 hr labor.

They are bright alive smart bold and funny kids. The vaxxed kids at their school/plays look muted, and damaged.

This is a great story. Thanks for sharing! God bless you both.

0
OhLollyLollyPop 0 points ago +1 / -1

If people are worried about vaccines, they can wait until the kids are older, not babies. Don't let the doctor give them a bunch of shots in one visit. You never hear of kids going to kindergarten (4-5,years) getting autism right after shots.

0
Independenceforever 0 points ago +1 / -1

I hear of it all the time. Look at the vaccine injury payouts.

Not sure what fantasy world you're living in but I have to go with actual evidence, not your anecdotal perspective.

Good luck tho.

I suggest you learn chemistry, instead of blindly trusting mad scientists. (I was vaccine injured immediately when I got my last shot at 6. So now you know that you are wrong on that point. Thanks.)

-2
Work2gethrBiglyOrDie -2 points ago +0 / -2

Infowars.com warns about vaccines, so I'd at least wait until Trump takes control of them from the deep state.
