The corona virus is NOT what the main stream media is selling you. Be cautious but fear not, here is one reason why:

Only one out of every 1,000 people in Hubei Province has contracted the coronavirus. There have been 65,914 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China's Hubei Province, where the outbreak began in December. That sounds like a lot, but keep in mind that the population of Hubei is 59,170,000. That's 59 MILLION in a province is slightly smaller than Nebraska, but with thirty times as many inhabitants. With this sort of population density, it's a positive sign that just .11% (roughly 1 in 1000) of the population has caught COVID-19.

Remember, we are talking China which is one of the TOP 5 POOREST countries in the world. Many people live in horrible unclean environments, where there are few if any working toilets. China is the Petrie dish of the world.

Seriously, just remember to wash your hands. You could catch a cold.

Does the government put the military on alert every cold season? Do they call press conferences where the President, the Vice President, and the heads of the government departments are speaking?

Or do they usually just remind people to get their flu shots and send out some low-level lackey to reassure everybody it’s just another flu?

That’s what I’m watching, I’m not listening to the words. I’m looking at what actions they’re taking, and they’re preparing for some serious shit, potentially, so it’s my opinion that we treat this like it could be some serious shit too.

I love how people keep confusing case fatality rate with global fatality rate, which gets people thinking we're about to hit a 1918 influenza death toll, despite lack of evidence for this

This is something I keep trying to tell people. Just look at all the other past "major outbreaks" in the last few years. Yes, some people died, but none of them were the pandemics that MSM was pushing on us. The normal flu kills many more people every year.

Washing hands, avoiding coughing sneezing people in public, etc. etc. is always a good idea. Don't touch stuff out there and then touch your face. Hand sanitizer for when you're out in the world, soap and water whenever you can. When it spreads (it will) be ahead of the grocery store runs (they will happen) by laying in a few extra supplies.
One point: Anyone who's 50ish and above should be more concerned than younger people. Work on boosting the immune system.

I call it the Gorillavirus to make a mockery of the panic. Everyone is freaking out over it when it's...it's a fucking cold.

We live in such a neurotic and overly cautious society.

In my county, we've had two cases of the virus. A man traveled from China, landed at SFO and kissed his wife when he got home. Short story, if you leave China and go home, don't kiss your wife.
