I found an old friend homeless. Took him in, he was a broken islam convert and ended up kicking him out (and paying for his ticket to CA) as a danger to fucking anyone.

$10k would not be worth taking in anyone broken that is happy to be broken not matter how much you love them and and to help.

This from a former codependent with rescuer tendencies. (Me).

Like quitting smoking or heroin, if you don't want to, no amount of help will be enough.

It would be a $10,000 tax credit , but they don't say that in the radio commercials.

"The Matern plan is to give a $10,000 Federal tax credit to any individual or family that takes in a homeless person to get them off the street."

It's hard enough to maintain a roomate with someone that you like, what if your new roomate decides he doesn't want to stay sober after a couple weeks? And how long into the lease would it take for the 1st argument to happen between the former homeless person and the new caretaker, where the homeless person explains " I can do what I want, you're getting paid for me to be here"

too funny

"Honey, you know we could really use $10,000 you know.. Yeah but I just don't like the idea of a "ex" methhead living right next to our daughters door. Yes but this homeless guy only has 2 felonies, not for anything violent, plus were helping the needy"
