This guy is the biggest shareholder in ATT, ATT owning CNN of course? I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for him to help conservatives on Twitter

Oct 2019-Elliott Management, a major investment firm run by billionaire Republican donor Paul Singer, alerted AT&T Monday of its $3.2 billion stake in the telecommunications giant. In a letter to AT&T's board, Elliott argued the company is underperforming and proposed AT&T sell its non-core businesses and restructure. President Donald Trump tweeted Monday that the announcement was "great news" and used the opportunity to criticize CNN, whose parent company WarnerMedia is a division of AT&T.

Let’s hope he destroys twitter like all the other companies he touches. Twitter is so far left run it into the ground.

Get on Gab, fam. Stop being reliant on platforms that have nothing but disdain for you.

And... That precludes them having disdain for Trump and Trump supporters?

Pretty sure that would be illegal, but wouldn't President Trump just use another platform and his 70M+ audience follow?

Bob383 6 points ago +6 / -0

Maybe he’ll shitpost on the presidential alert text.

Probably means we should buy some twtr & wait until the dude sells the company to Facebook.

He is a vulture capitalist & will do what makes him the most money. I may try and piggyback the ride

Never Trumpers who changed their tunes will no doubt have to be treated with suspicion.

Singer, who opposed President Trump's campaign in 2016, has since changed his tune, raising the prospect that some of the changes to Twitter could make the platform a friendlier place for pro-Trump users. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Singer donated $24 million to Republican and right-leaning groups in the 2016 election.

"As you know, Paul was very much involved with the anti-Trump or as they say 'Never Trump," and Paul just left [the White House] and he's given us his total support and it’s all about unification," Trump said in 2017. "So, I want to thank Paul Singer for being here and coming up to the office. He was a very strong opponent and now he's a very strong ally and I appreciate that."

"Never trust a Never Trumper." Mr. Singer will have to prove himself.

Not sure about the "pro-trumper" label, he was a never-trumper up until some months ago and he financed mitt romney campaign.

Paul Singer (the "pro-trumper") was the one who hired fusion GPS, between many things.

Inform yourself pedes.

So? How does this negates anything of what i said?

4
Shakakka99 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trump seemed to trust him after he came around. Since then, has he backed Trump?

4
Deplora 4 points ago +4 / -0

He abandoned his "never Trumper" status right after Trump won the Republican nomination in 2016, and quickly became very actively pro-Trump. That's not really "some months ago", it's "some years ago". And he had ceased working with FusionGPS before the Clinton-funded fake dossier project got started.

We didnt stop questioning Ted Cruz overnight. It took a while for him to evolve into Lion Ted.

Paul Singer backs Mittens. I don’t think he’s pro Trump

This guy is about as “pro-Trump” as I am Michael Jordan.

I'd like to see conservatives buy out Facebook and Reddit as well.

7
LoneStarWinner 7 points ago +8 / -1

IDK, I don't trust this guy. Once a never-Trumper, always a never-Trumper. I suspect he's like Mittens - He'll say what he needs to from time-to-time, but when the chips are down, he'll prove he's still a never-Trumper.

IncredibleMrE1 5 points ago +6 / -1

Pro-Trumper is taking it pretty far. Caution advised.

I know there’s discrepancy around this guy but honestly my opinion is he sees the picture. There is no other way for economic growth in America given the current Democratic clown show. I wouldn’t bet my money on him in 4 years, but 2020, his move makes sense

Can someone do the same thing to Reddit/Advance Publications and oust Spez?

SiBear117 3 points ago +4 / -1

Paul Singer is NOT pro-Trumper. He is a Never Trumper snake pretending. Singer supported Rubio and funded the oppo research that was later bought by the Crooked Hillary campaign.

1
I-am-but-an-egg 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bullshit! Singer may be a Republican but he is far from being a Pro-Trumper. Dude is for open boarders

1
astro_eng 1 point ago +1 / -0

He supports the alphabet community. Twitter is not WOKE enough for him!

1
papaguns 1 point ago +2 / -1

According to the update I read, he is still a never trumper and hasnt come over to trump's side. Dont teust the guy.

That feel when you see something you already posted stickied at the top when you already posted it 2 hours prior. Feels bad man.

Now do Reddit

I doubt he's Pro-Trump. His main complaint is Jack is CEO of both Twatter and Square; his fund wants him to stick to just one company instead of dividing his attention. They're fine with him staying with Twitter if he leaves Square.

Could be some power plays going on behind the scenes who knows

1
Deplora 1 point ago +1 / -0

Singer is pro-freedom and pro-business and has no trouble seeing that Trump must be re-elected . As for Jack Dorsey, the matter of serving as CEO of two companies is only part of why institutional investors are fed up with him. He also recently announced that he plans to start living in Africa about half of each year, and keep doing both CEO jobs from there.
