Did some reading on the Radium Girls the other day. Around the time of WWI radium was considered healthy and these women worked painting watch faces...they literally glowed. Then they started getting sick and the companies they worked for didn't want to take responsibility. So their struggle became part of the worker's rights and safety movement.

Also interesting is, if a parent tattoos a child under 18 they will be arrested for abuse..... but they can do this to a child?

These people are mentally ill. For consistency, they should allow assisted suicide and validate schizophrenia.

There are no winners in this, everyone involved are idiots or assholes that deserve a flaying. You cant agree to consensual -anything- with another party and then decide after the fact that you can go on the attack if you regret it long afterwards... that ship has sailed.

And the NHS might be one of the worst things in the known world, I've never understood why the UK clings to the illusion that they are lucky to have them unless they fear the consequence of speaking honestly.. like a battered spouse that just cant leave their abuser. Judges outright order the murder of children, police guard the hospital to make sure the child dies and that they can defeat any rescue attempt, and the NHS continues to be a cancer on the world. All under the rubric of being nationalised health care which apparently means the UK government has the right to kill lawful citizens at will via this means. Nothing in this sorry mess is redeemable.
