Seems about right to me. Because that's literally the UK right now. Letting some inexperienced, ignorant 16 year old who barely knows anything about life decide "I don't feel like a girl, gibs me dem hormone blockers."
Not just the UK. Canada has a law that says if you are under 19, but a healthcare "professional" deems you to be a "mature minor", you can make medical decisions like this without informing your parents.
Dont forget heart attacks from damaging the circulation system, lowering iq scores and massive increase in cancer risks. Its not a "puberty blocker", its a cancer treatment drug that massively fucks with hormones, and so limiting cancer. But its used off box label for these kids. It doesnt block puberty, it devastates it. There's not "starting right back up if you change your mind" It even has a limit of no more than 6 months use for adults when used as developed, studied and approved by FDA. Anyone giving this to their child is a child abuser. And I'd bet money no one at the clinic ever told this or any of those other kids the real cost of these drugs
The mother consistently uses 'Olivia' when referring to her daughter, in order to avoid a stupid pronoun (can't use his or her, so has to be something odd). I like this solution as it can be used whenever there is pressure to use a pronoun you know to be wrong. It also becomes quite obvious what you are doing as you end up using their name a lot. As it is grammatically correct they can't insist you change.
'What's wrong with Olivia? Olivia can act however Olivia likes. Olivia is insane, as can be seen from Olivia's actions. Does Olivia have Olivia's dress, Olivia's blouse and Olivia's jacket ready for Olivia's journey?'
One of her doctors fails to follow protocol though:
"Dr Anderson said the medical impacts of puberty blockers were generally reversible and only prescribed "after a very long and considered process with extensive and in-depth psychiatric evaluation for both Olivia and her family".
If a man had sex with her at that age it's be rape even if she wanted him to it would be considered "forced" because she was too young to consent. This sort of treatment is even more invasive and long-term in its consequences.
Given the rates whch most people with such ideas do grow out of them I don;t think it's ethical noot to wait.
Yep. She basically just needed an adult to have a heart to heart about how great it is to be a woman, and to be proud of herself and her gender. Someone to honestly explain the risks of the treatment. Someone to tell her “no”.
As an adult she recognizes this. Why can’t liberals?
when i was 16 i thought smashing people's mailboxes, destroying children's snowmen, climbing on top of public buildings, and smoking tea leaves as an alternative to weed were amazing ideas. i even thought michelob ultra was one of the best beers you can drink.
When I was 16, I climbed onto a roof while drinking Zima, and destroyed a statue. Not proud. Especially about the Zima part. Good thing I never lived in the UK or wanted to cut my dick off.
ISTR that the brain isn't fully developed until 26 years on average. If that is correct, perhaps HUGE decisions like this should be deferred until on or after that age?
Did some reading on the Radium Girls the other day. Around the time of WWI radium was considered healthy and these women worked painting watch faces...they literally glowed. Then they started getting sick and the companies they worked for didn't want to take responsibility. So their struggle became part of the worker's rights and safety movement.
It seems to me that a reckoning is coming for those advocating for hormone treatments of children. For all it seems to be social justice-y, Big Pharma is making $$$ and so are the health care providers.
The real horror here is that a child is not equipped to make these decisions. Especially one with mental health issues from said dysphoria. The fact that they enabled her to electively mutilate herself via radical surgery is absolutely ghoulish.
That’s all I’ve got to say, I’m heavily self editing here.
Here’s an interesting link from a 2018 article in Psychology Today talking about how gender reassignment is only aiding a mental disorder.

The "well...DUH" quote of the article... "She says she has been contacted by 'hundreds of young adults' — some only 19 or 20 — who claim the treatment has not solved their problems. "
Good for you fam. At one point I myself thought depression was unbeatable. It took a lot of will to get out of it and years to come back to an okay state. It was my mindset that needed to change, and I guess I was lucky to be able to.
I've considered the connection to suicide myself. Imagine if it were policy to tell mentally ill people that thoughts of killing yourself are normal and in fact, here's some pills that will enable you to do it.... I don't see this transgender thing as any different.
Woman: 'omg you should have told me no, my life is ruined forever now because of what you did'
NHS: 'but thats a hate crime!'
There are no winners in this, everyone involved are idiots or assholes that deserve a flaying. You cant agree to consensual -anything- with another party and then decide after the fact that you can go on the attack if you regret it long afterwards... that ship has sailed.
And the NHS might be one of the worst things in the known world, I've never understood why the UK clings to the illusion that they are lucky to have them unless they fear the consequence of speaking honestly.. like a battered spouse that just cant leave their abuser. Judges outright order the murder of children, police guard the hospital to make sure the child dies and that they can defeat any rescue attempt, and the NHS continues to be a cancer on the world. All under the rubric of being nationalised health care which apparently means the UK government has the right to kill lawful citizens at will via this means. Nothing in this sorry mess is redeemable.

An 11 year old girl. Forget the future of osteoporosis that comes with taking these drugs so young, that’s considered “minor”.

The word missing there before the "consent" is "informed".
That is the crux of the case.
The Daily Mail is not the place to get proper information, it's an outrage generating machine.
The drugs they were giving the kids were untested. They hadn't even had animal trials.

Fun Fact: The Doctor who invented lobotomy, António Egas Moniz, received a Nobel Prize for it.
Let that sink in...
After only 8 Months in office!
Nobel Prizes have jumped the shark.
I can't wait to see trump refuse his participation trophy
He's not part of their cult club. He'll never be offered one to refuse.
I thought you meant they gave obumner a lobotomy ?

People who let kids make unnatural medically dangerous decisions are 100% child abusers. No question about it.
Gee, who would have guessed?
Buyers remorse, no refunds.

“At Tavistock” Where have i heard that name from??? Connected to Soros(?)
Connected to MKULTRA and Monarch (brainwashing and mind control). They are the original psych baddies / glowies (RIP Terry).

They painted plane dials as well, a lot of pilots got sick as a result.
Wow. TIL Thanks!
Nawwww... if only someone could have spoken up and said cutting off body parts is crazy talk... it's a shame no one said anything at all... no one.
And so it starts. Thankbloodygoodness! Sue these maniacs to the poorhouse!!
And PROSECUTE everyone involved in this predation of children & mentally challenged

Did she have PARENTS or just 2 dysfunctional breeders?
Please don’t amp up the dramatic words being used. She wasn’t forced. The article doesn’t say she was forced.
Also interesting is, if a parent tattoos a child under 18 they will be arrested for abuse..... but they can do this to a child?
These people are mentally ill. For consistency, they should allow assisted suicide and validate schizophrenia.
Good. Sue them it's abuse and they are predators
Clown world

TRANSGENDERISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER. Change my fucking mind.
Why is it fake? The daily mail storey is incorrect, or is this a feelings based judgement?
