I wonder if the left didn't end up creating a powerful enemy in Sandmann, because they can't ever really hit him again.
Consider: lawsuits => he's going to have good startup cash, AND, instant name recognition. He'll have a legit beef against the ENTIRE left that most people can understand and sympathize with, so now he has a legit "origin story". He'll have an established rep as a literal stand up guy.
How doesn't he win his run for state assemblyman(whatever)? Maybe even Congress. And, he basically has a lifetime superpower: no one can ever attack him...without the baggage of the original media sin against him getting in the way. They'll never be able to hit him cleanly.
