Using written responses means nobody know who's actually crafting them. I'm not going to get too excited yet, though. Her attorneys could make a completely truthful claim that she is suffering from dementia, and is thus unable to be deposed. Obviously she and attorneys have been trying to avoid that, since it would bring any pretense of a role in this election season to a screeching halt. But she'd a lot rather be known as a has-been with dementia, than go to prison.
