Called all this over a month ago & was given a 3 day ban on the old sub for it, l spent 6 years fighting OS & then 2 + years working for NGO's .Syria is heading to a major cluster fuck at full speed,we need to get the fuck out of Syria now it is only pure luck we have not had a major incident there for fuck all in the scheme of things & are committing war crimes by being there & a embarrassment to be sitting there stealing another countries oil, when if we were so desperate to be involved we should have negotiated for the kurds to control & pay for our military hardware. This will come back to bite the guys on the ground bad in years to come, not some scum bag in the State department in Washington.
Daesh has been using our troops as cover for months now while the countries own military is trying to rid their country of them & Turkey is openly arming & aiding DAESH as they have done for years since the very start of the conflict as they are nothing more than cover for terrorists & will do everything in the scumbags power to fuck over the west .
As l stated we should have taken a step back & any agreement in Afghanistan should have been tied to the Afghan Government & what ever criminal gang they want to waste their breath on. Any deal/ agreement there will fail as everyone who has been on the ground knows there is no controlling Taliban or War Lord and never has been ,this was stupid move by the State Dept/military & is always going to fail ,when we should have simply said we have done as much as we can now the Afghan Govt & the Taliban can agree on what ever they want to agree as we our involvement is over.
IMO Pompeo is making a string of suspect decisions in the lead up to the election, as it is now a American "deal"who do you think will blamed when a school.market place, etc, etc is attacked due to dispute of the deal & the westerners who tried to force it on them.
Eh NY Times reporting? I'll wait and see rather than take their word for it

Lucy, you got some 'splainin' ta do ...
You fought OS? Ok. What's an OS?
How are we committing war crimes in Syria?
How are we getting Syrian oil?
How would the Kurds have paid for our military hardware?
How does daesh use our troops as cover?
You claim there is "no controlling" Talibs. So we were wrong to ever try to fight them, because they are a superior military force?
The US deal insists upon the release of 5,000 Talibs? That doesn't seem likely to succeed.
They were given a golden opportunity by trump to bring peace to the region but they want to go all john snow and say "I don't want it"
